Maitland Auto Preservation Society Inc. (MAPS) was formed in 1985 by a small group of dedicated enthusiasts.  The club has since continued to attract many new members who have a common interest in the restoration and preservation of motor vehicles of all ages and types.
Membership is not limited to residents of Maitland;  members reside in all areas of the Yorke Peninsula and beyond.
Regular events are held on a monthly basis.  A monthly newsletter is produced called "The MAPS Review".
State legislation allows for special Historic Vehicle Registration for vehicles manufactured up to and including 1978.  This means that for a reduced fee a Club Car can be used on many  outings.
Club meetings are held the first Thursday of each month except January in the Chatt Centre, Robert St., Maitland at 8pm.
Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome.
